Lifetime Movie: The Craigslist Killer Real People

This movie is based on the true story of Craigslist Killer Philip Haynes Markoff. Markoff targeted women on Craigslist in 2009. On August 5, 2010 Markoff committed suicide in jail. He wrote the name of his fiancee Megan McAllister in blood.

 Here are some more recent cases of Craigslist murders.

May 2011:
This case involved three teen gang members Seandell Jones, Shaquille Jordan, and Rashon Abernathy all plead guilty to the murder of 18 year old Garrett Berki. Berki and his girlfriend responded to an ad on Craigslist for a Macbook Pro computer. When they arrived  they were robbed at gunpoint. When Berki followed the robbers and tried to corner them in, he was shot and killed. The police captured them, and they are awaiting trial. They are eligible for up to fifty years in prison.
